Assalamu Alaikum Wr Wb

Welcome to the blogspot of the masjid located in a small town called Koothanallur, Tamil Nadu, India. During my recent visit to India in the month of May 2005 I went to our town. It was really nice to see after few years.

During my stay I paid visit to some of the Masjids and I got the opportunity to take few photos. In this page you'll find some of the pictures of the following masjids.

  • Big Masjid (Periya Palli)
  • Rasheedia Masjid (Rasheedia Palli)
  • Chinna Palli
  • Masjidun' Niyas
Big Masjid
This masjid is one of the oldest masjid in that vicinity. It is more than 100 years old.

Rasheedia Masjid
This masjid was built some time in the early 8Os and it is one of the modern type of masjid.

Chinna Palli (Small Masjid)
Unlike Big Masjid, this masjid was build a century ago. But the old architecture was demolised and the new design is given to this beautiful piece of work.

I've created a 3D model of this masjid and you can take a look. This image is Copyrighted. Please email me if you want to use it elsewhere.

Masjidun' Niyas
This masjid is one of the latest masjid build, this architecture looks beautiful and more over the size of the masjid is not as big as other masjid at Koothanallur. This masjid is one the newly built in recent years, if I'm not mistaken it was built back in 2005.

If you have any info or update about any of the masjid in our vicinity, try to send in your comments here in the page or mail it to tmariaz@gmail.com and we can add more in the future.

I encourage people who live in Koothanallur to update about the information regarding the masjid and add more pictures of the masjids there.

We live outside India and don't get much info about Koothanallur.

I suggest maybe somebody should update info about the happenings and death news as well. So it'll be helpful for others living abroad.

Years ago people were so active sending emails and info at our Koothanallur egroup but now drastically reduced or I can even say, it gonna die or dead, who knows and I think moderates should take some effort to block all those junks that we receive everyday.

Thanks
